What this is

Communities is a place to talk about one subject at a time. Discover a community, open a thread, and say something.

Reading needs no account. Your first participation creates a private anonymous account, and every thread gives you a pseudonym of its own — the same name for the whole of that conversation, a different one in the next. Your name travels with the discussion instead of following you around.

Confirm a recovery email to return to your account from another browser, create a community, or post publicly. A username gives you an optional public page; your anonymous contributions stay separate.

You post under a per-thread pseudonym unless you deliberately choose otherwise.

A conversation you can follow

A pseudonym is stable inside a thread, so you can tell two people apart without either of them being identified.

Discover communities by topic and follow the ones you want in your Following feed.

One set of rules

Platform guidelines apply everywhere. Community moderators review reports in their own spaces; platform staff handle community-level reports and platform enforcement.

Nothing to join

No password, no email, no profile to complete before you can take part.
